Book Your Free Hashimoto’s Breakthrough Call:
This Might Sound Familiar…
You’re tired all the time, even after a full night’s sleep. Your brain feels foggy and you forget simple things. You can’t lose weight no matter how careful you are. Your hair is thinning. Your skin feels dry. You wake up at 2–3am and can’t fall back asleep. Your moods feel unpredictable. Your digestion feels off: bloating, constipation, discomfort.
You’ve adjusted your thyroid medication. You’ve tried cutting out gluten, dairy and sugar. You’ve tried keto, paleo and random supplements. You’ve tried tracking calories and pushing through intense workouts (that take days to recover from), but nothing seems to last.
You’ve “done everything right” but despite all your effort, the fatigue, brain fog and weight gain still haven't improved.
What Most Women With Hashimoto’s Don’t Realize
Hashimoto’s isn’t just about your thyroid. It’s an autoimmune condition that impacts the thyroid, where symptoms often persist because the real drivers of the overactive immune system haven’t been addressed, such as:
Gut infections and imbalances that affect immune function
Hidden nutrient deficiencies needed for thyroid hormones
The stress response that keeps the immune system activated
Food sensitivities that trigger inflammation
Suboptimal liver function that impairs detox and hormone conversion
Environmental toxins that disrupt hormones and immune function
When we identify what’s actually driving your symptoms, your body can finally begin to respond with steadier energy, clearer thinking, better digestion, and a metabolism that starts working with you again.
My Britesquare four-pillar framework for supporting thyroid health and improving Hashimoto’s symptoms.
Diet & Nutrients
In Hashimoto’s, the immune system is closely influenced by diet and nutrient status. Certain foods may trigger inflammation, while nutrient deficiencies can impair thyroid and immune function. By focusing on nutrient-dense foods, identifying food sensitivities, and addressing deficiencies, we build a more resilient body, and support a more balanced and stable immune response.
Gut Microbiome & Leaky Gut
Gut health plays a crucial role in Hashimoto’s, as the immune system is closely connected to the gut. Imbalances in the microbiome, impaired digestion, hidden gut infections and increased intestinal permeability can all contribute to ongoing immune activation. By supporting digestion, addressing infections and imbalances, and improving gut integrity, we help create a more stable foundation for immune health.
Environmental & Dietary Toxins
Environmental exposures can place stress on the body and play a role in immune and hormone function in Hashimoto’s. Everyday factors—from food additives to chemicals in skin care products and the home—can contribute to inflammation and increase the body’s toxic load. By reducing unnecessary exposures, we support the body’s natural detoxification processes and promote a more balanced immune system.
Mindset & Lifestyle
Mental and emotional health are closely connected to immune function in Hashimoto’s. Stress, sleep, and daily habits all influence how the body functions and recovers. A dysregulated stress response can contribute to inflammation, poor sleep, and fatigue. By supporting the nervous system and prioritizing sleep, mindset, movement, and stress management, women with Hashimoto’s can go from surviving to thriving.
Hi, I’m Kim, Your Hashimoto’s Expert
I’m a Functional Health Coach and the founder of Britesquare Functional Health, where I specialize in helping women with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
For more than 20 years, I’ve helped hundreds of clients resolve their symptoms through personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies. I’m certified in Health Coaching and Nutritional Medicine, with advanced training in Hashimoto’s, autoimmunity, and functional lab testing, which allows me to take a deeply informed, customized approach to helping women resolve complex thyroid and autoimmune symptoms.
I’ve seen firsthand how overlooked and misunderstood this condition can be. Many women are exhausted, discouraged, and barely getting through the day at a time when they should be enjoying their families, relationships, careers, and hobbies. Through a functional approach, I’ve watched my clients reduce — and often eliminate — their symptoms, regain their energy and feel vibrant again.
From Surviving to Thriving with Hashimoto’s
Most approaches focus on managing symptoms. The Functional Thyroid Method addresses the reasons for your symptoms.
Managing symptoms:
Quick, one-off appointments
Focus on symptom management and monitoring
Standardized treatment approaches
Hashimoto’s treated as a thyroid problem
Labs look “normal,” but you still feel unwell
Symptoms not fully addressed
Reactive, short-term care
Creating lasting change:
Ongoing, personalized support
Focus on what’s driving your symptoms
A clear, customized plan for your body
Hashimoto’s understood as an immune condition
A broader view of thyroid and whole-body function
Every symptom is a clue and opportunity
A strategic path toward lasting improvement
You’ve Tried Other Approaches. But This One’s Different
Most programs focus on managing symptoms: tweaking food, adding supplements, or adjusting medication, without ever asking why your body is struggling in the first place. Instead of relying on one-size-fits-all advice, we use functional lab testing to identify what’s actually driving your symptoms. Along with targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes we create a clear path forward to improve your energy, clear brain fog, normalize digestion, restore sleep, and support healthy weight loss. This is a guided process that adapts as your body responds, not a rigid protocol you’re left to navigate alone.
Inside my Functional Thyroid Method you will:
Rebuild steady energy throughout the day
Clear brain fog and think more clearly
Wake up rested and refreshed
Improve digestion and reduce bloating
Restore stronger hair and healthier, glowing skin
Feel calmer and more emotionally balanced
Support a healthier metabolism and sustainable weight loss

Health is wealth. Investing in your health is one of the most important things you can do. Unless you address your current condition or physiological imbalances you may continue to create additional symptoms and diagnoses down the line. For example, having one diagnosed autoimmune condition increases your risk for additional autoimmune diseases unless the underlying mechanisms are addressed.
The financial investment you make in yourself goes beyond the program: You are learning new tools to keep your health optimized long-term. This is the only body you have. Let’s get you feeling your best while minimizing your risk of chronic disease.

Functional nutrition is an integrated approach to health that considers a person’s unique genetics, environment, diet, chronic disease risks, exercise, stress, sleep habits, nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities, gut health and other lifestyle factors.
A functional health coach uses functional labs to identify healing opportunities. We uncover the root causes of dysfunction in the body, working relentlessly to find connections between your symptoms, labs and health history. We then use personalized diet and lifestyle programs to achieve optimal wellness.
A functional health coach does not diagnose or treat, we simply aim to restore function to the body.

My clients have often seen various health practitioners before landing here. Many practitioners are very skilled in their specialties, but have not been trained to explore how different systems in the body interplay, or how external factors may influence the body.
For example, autoimmunity is a multifactorial condition that may include factors such as nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, leaky gut & gut dysbiosis, environmental toxin exposure, poor sleep hygiene, chronic stress and circadian disruption. This is why I created mt four-part framework, to methodically explore the many ways your body may be affected by stressors. And I don’t guess, I test: I use functional labs and the data they provide to restore balance to the body.
-
It takes time to feel better. Your body didn’t get to its current state overnight. For example, autoimmunity takes decades to develop, by the time you have symptoms it’s likely that physiological dysfunction has been present for a while. The symptoms are the last thing to appear.
Autoimmunity is a complex condition and the body needs time to adapt to diet, supplements and lifestyle changes. Supplements are not medications -which work quickly to alleviate symptoms, but do not address the underlying imbalances that led to the issue in the first place.
It takes time to implement recommendations, to peel back the layers on physiological dysfunction, and to learn new ways to care for yourself, whether it’s eating for nutrients, restoring your gut health or managing stress. 4 months is the minimum amount of time required to feel better and to see a shift in lab results.

It’s easy to get started: First, book your free 45-minute consult to discuss your goals and see if working together is a good fit. If so, I’ll provide a link for you to buy your package, sign your agreement, and we’ll add your first consultation to the calendar. After this you’ll create an account in our secure online platform and start filling out your intake forms.
I’ll send you a link with the labs we discussed during your consultation. You will purchase the lab kits directly from Fullscript, our third-party lab provider. I do not mark up the test kit fees or profit from the sales of the tests. The lab kits are sent directly to your home, no need to travel to the lab, or for a doctor’s note.
Once you have collected your samples, you send them back to the lab. The lab kits come with prepaid mailers so it’s easy to return, just drop them off at your local UPS location. We usually receive your results within 4 weeks and will then book your next appointment to review your roadmap and protocol. I then support you on your journey to improved health!

Unfortunately I do not accept insurance since functional nutrition and functional labs are considered alternative healthcare and are not covered by insurance.
Some clients have successfully submitted receipts for reimbursement for out-of-pocket medical expenses, especially when submitting to a Health Savings Account (HSA). Some clients have been successful using flexible spending accounts (FSAs). Our coaching and lab fees can also be tax deductible if you itemize health care costs. Check with your tax accountant.
I encourage you to not let the cost of functional care hinder your healing. You deserve to be healthy and feel great! I do offer payment plans -ask me during your initial 45-min consultation.

Autoimmunity takes decades to develop, happening slowly over time before finally manifesting into symptoms. It happens on a spectrum, ranging from asymptomatic people with positive antibodies to individuals with full blown autoimmunity and severe symptoms.
This lengthy process of disease development means that there’s plenty of time during which a functional approach can be beneficial. The earlier these root causes are identified, the easier it is to potentially alter the course of the disease.
Also, autoimmunity is the fastest growing category of disease. The prevalence of autoimmune disease has skyrocketed over the past 50 years and is only projected to increase.
This is why I recommend adding the antinuclear antibody (ANA) biomarker to the routine physical. A positive ANA will allow us to address root causes before a diagnosis ever occurs.
A recent study investigated the prevalence of antinuclear antibodies (ANA), a common biomarker of autoimmunity, over a 25-year period. From 1988 to 2012, the prevalence of ANA increased by 44% -corresponding to an estimated 41 million individuals in the US in 2012. Most concerning was that the values for adolescents and teenagers increased nearly 300% over the study period. The prevalence of autoimmunity is certainly even higher today.

No. Stopping your medications without consulting your physician, or licensed medical provider, can be harmful for your health.
I am not legally authorized to advise on medications. As your health coach my role is to optimize your health through diet and lifestyle, and to investigate why you are experiencing symptoms to begin with.
While some clients have eliminated/decreased their medications, they did so strategically by discussing with their physician and creating a plan. It is always our pleasure to partner with your physician to achieve your health goals.
-
Absolutely! Food has a huge impact on health. Food is information for the body and each bite can either make or break your health.
Food provides the building blocks your body needs to prevent disease, heal from illness, and to live a long and healthy life. The body requires small amounts of certain vitamins and minerals to function -in fact, the immune system alone requires over 40 micronutrients to function properly!
Unfortunately, the Standard American Diet (SAD) is devoid of nutrients, and is loaded with foods that weaken the body like sugar, bad fats and processed foods. This leads to nutritional deficiencies and potentially disease. By focusing on whole foods that are full of indispensable nutrients, you can live a life of vibrant health.
-
Based on lab results and intake forms, we will likely recommend a protocol. A protocol is a health plan that allows us to methodically address the hidden stressors that may be contributing to your symptoms. Every client will have different stressors which is why it’s important to investigate all aspects of health for clues.
For example, through our various functional labs we may find that you have gut pathogens or dysbiosis, hormonal imbalances and food sensitivities. We would then create a protocol to decrease your inflammation, optimize your hormones and restore balance to your microbiome so you can feel better. Protocols are not meant to be long-term, they are short-term interventions, usually 90 days long.
-
Yes. Supplements can be very beneficial for most people to bridge any nutritional gap and they are very important during protocols.
Studies show that 80% of Americans are low in plant-based vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients -which are necessary for detoxification and to reduce inflammation.
Having adequate nutrient intake is critical for good health, but many of us lead busy lives and are not getting all the nutrition we need from foods. Chemical farming and the modern food industry has also severely damaged the nutrition available in our food supply. Additionally, stress and increased environmental toxins require that our bodies consistently detoxify -and this process also needs nutrients.
Although I do often recommend supplements, they are not all created equal. I recommend non-GMO, food-based, third party tested, clinician grade supplements from Fullscript, an online dispensary for qualified practitioners. My account is not-for-profit, which provides a discount for my clients and gives you peace of mind to know that I only recommend what I believe is necessary.
Supplement needs will depend on diet and lifestyle and are not included in pricing.
-
Yes! It is my pleasure to partner with your primary care physician or specialist to achieve optimal results for you. For clients enrolled in my Functional Thyroid Method I offer a final report once you’ve completed your sessions.
I have the same goal as doctors (to help you feel better) but have different tools. The tools I use include nutrition and lifestyle changes, and these can be a powerful adjunct to the existing plan your physician recommends. I always recommend that you consult your physician when starting a new program and supplements.
-
I use functional labs, which are very different from conventional medical labs. Your doctor uses a set of labs that diagnose diseases and life-threatening conditions. We use functional labs that are designed to detect functional disorders that occur before the disease process takes place.
For example, your endocrinologist might test your adrenals to find rare endocrine disorders like Addison’s or Cushing’s, whereas we test adrenals to see how stress affects the body. Your gastroenterologist might test your gut for colon cancer or Crohn’s disease, whereas functional GI labs will test for more subtle microbiome imbalances and dysfunctions.
I have advanced training in these state of the art functional labs, and in nutritional interpretation. These labs can identify hidden stressors that might be impacting your health, and through a protocol we can restore function to the body.
-
I do not offer a money-back guarantee, but what I can promise is that I will consistently show up and give you my best effort. And I hope for the same from you in return!
The hard work happens between sessions and I can’t guarantee that you will put in the effort and make the most of your time with me. Since I don’t offer refunds, please make sure that you are ready to invest the time, money and energy in yourself and commit to our program together -I want you to be all in!
-
Absolutely. In fact, many of my clients are across state lines. Telemedicine allows clients the option to schedule consultations online, and to connect from anywhere in the U.S.
Supplements can also be shipped to any US address. Lab kits can be sent to nearly any US address, except for NY (and sometimes NJ and RI). The process is easy: the kits are sent directly to your home -no doctor’s note or trip to the lab required. Kits come included with pre-paid mailers and can be dropped off at your local UPS or FedEx location. It takes an average of 4 weeks for lab results to return.
After your lab results are reviewed, I’ll send your supplement recommendations through my online dispensary at discounted prices.
-
It depends. Results are highly individual. Some of my clients have been suffering with severe symptoms for years, whereas others are asymptomatic and are proactively investing in their health.
One client may see their symptoms resolve simply by adopting a gluten-free and nutrient-dense diet, whereas for another client with chronic and longstanding autoimmunity it may take a year or longer to put their autoimmunity into remission.
Working with a functional health coach does not guarantee results, but it’s reasonable to expect symptoms to decrease or resolve as you begin to address the underlying stressors and root causes that are contributing to your condition. The body wants to be in balance, it’s up to us to give the body what it needs for that.
